About Me

Hi, and welcome to my site! My name is Melody, and I like words.

By day I am an editor, and in my free time you will find me reading anything I can get my hands on. I began editing because I am a born communicator, whether through physical books or Facebook. I began reviewing because I love the stories people tell about themselves and others, and I wanted to share my likes and dislikes with anyone who cares to drop by!

What I Read

I love literary and historical fiction, and have lately been on a classics kick. However, my interests also range from sci-fi/fantasy to cookbooks, so there is something here for everyone!

  • However, these rules aren’t set in stone, so please contact me at MelodyAWilson@gmail.com with any review requests.

I am completely honest with my reviews, regardless of the source of the book. I review for two reasons: my love of reading, and my audience. I accept finished copies, ARCs, printed galleys, and audio recordings. I regularly host giveaways, both of my own books and those publishers send me. If you don’t want me to give away your ARC, please let me know.

I also also review D.C.-area literature, authors, bookstores, and events over at Inner Loop Lit–if you’re a D.C. bibliophile like me, I think you’ll enjoy it!

    Anything else?

When I am not reading, writing, and edition, I enjoy making paper, books, and jewelry; long walks with my three-year-old black lab; and ice skating.
